HOW TO...

Once you have located someone who has Kiddie Porn (KP) on their computer do the following:

1.  Save to disk (3.5 floppy) the following:
 -one or two of the KP files as proof.
 -a list of KP directories, sub directories and file names so the authorities know what to look for.
 -if available a copy of their resume. As proof of identity and so the authorities know whose door to kick down. A very common file name is RESUME.txt
 -look for their favorite URL files there may be links to KP sites. Save to disk. This is to pass on to the authorities or sympathetic "Spartans" who will take down the site.
 -if possible look for JPGs or other picture files of the predator. Some guys have these files. e.g. ME.jpg . Save these to disk.

I suggest saving all of the above to disk, if you can get into their computers others might be able to get into yours. You don't want to be mistaken for one of "THEM". Plain and simple, it's better to be safe than sorry.

We have two options when it comes to turn over the information:

1. The authorities such as they are in that part of the world. This is dangerous because they will want to know who you are and how you obtained this information. Then there is the illegally obtained information they might not be able to act on.

2. The Press. I like this option better because it accomplishes several things at once. First a reporter (print/television) is always looking for a story and none are juicier than "local resident involved in Kiddie Porn". Second they tend to protect their sources due to the fact that more stories may come from them. Third, they have the contacts in the local police departments and once they turn over our information they will hound the cops until an arrest happens. Fourth, Publicity. If these predators know that their face will appear on the 6 O'clock news then they might think twice about doing such things.

Obviously, we will need people from all over the world who can turn over this information in options one and two to local Cops/Reporters.  We can gauge our success by posting the names of these people on our Wall of Shame. I will remove the Wall if people abuse it and post names of people they don't like. This is serious and some good can come of it!
